Georgia Driver Education
Requirements for teen drivers in Georgia became stricter on January 1, 2007 under a new law called Joshua's Law. Essentially, under this new law, drivers must complete a state approved Georgia driver education course in order to receive their drivers license before the age of 17.
The state of Georgia is working diligently on providing driver education classes in school, however, in less populated areas, traditional classroom courses may not be available yet. In addition, it's not uncommon these days for teens to participate in home schooling. Parents that want more control over their teen's driver training can now enroll their teen in a state approved online Georgia driver education course.
Georgia Joshua's Law Driver Education
This online driver education course meets the requirements of Georgia's newly established Joshua's law. Teens can enroll online and take the classroom portion of their drivers ed in the comfort of their home in their own time and their own pace. Parents will assist their teen with the behind the wheel portion of the driving requirements to certify completion. Upon passing the online course, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion to show proof of completion of a state approved Georgia driver education course to their local DDS office.
